HARMONY DAY CELEBRATION – NEXT FRIDAY!

Next week we’ll be celebrating Harmony Day, led by our Junior School Council. Students are invited to wear a splash of orange over the top of normal school uniform and bring a gold coin donation as we come together to celebrate diversity and inclusivity.

STUDENT DIARIES AND WELLBEING ACTIVTIES

This year, our student diaries are full of engaging and supportive wellbeing activities, explicitly shared through the newsletter each week. It’s wonderful to see students and families connecting with the wellbeing strategies and making direct links to their learning at school (check the ‘Wellbeing at Wallington’ section below for this week’s focus.)

Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of all the great things happening at Wallington!

2025 – CURRICULUM CONTRIBUTIONS

We are incredibly grateful to all the families who have made curriculum contributions so far this year. Thanks to your support, we’re tracking well towards achieving our goals as we seek to provide the very best curriculum projects and enriching experiences for all our students.

Every contribution makes a difference, and we are committed to ensuring our students have the best possible opportunities at school.

Remember, contributions are welcome at any time throughout the year and can be made easily through Compass. You may also choose to set up instalments if that works better for you.

See the infographic below for more details on our progress:

Thank you for your continued support!

Wellbeing at Wallington

Welcome back to Wallington’s weekly wellbeing activities,

This week’s activity involves watching a video and reflecting on strategies that your child can use when they are feeling stressed. We know our students experience a wide range of emotions as they navigate their school day, one strategy we use to support them through this is the Berry Street strategy of ‘What went well?’ during our daily Community Circle routine. This strategy allows students to notice the moments in their days where they experience success and develop their resilience when facing challenges. Students' answers can range from spending time with their friends, their favourite subject, what they had for breakfast or lunch, or a moment when they jumped in the learning pit. When students notice and share these moments, it allows their peers and teacher to celebrate their successes alongside them and helps to create a positive learning environment.
